| Welcome to Wellfleet, Cape Cod |
A little bit of history..... In
1978 Bob Derow and Joe Wanco acquired the Wellfleet Lighthouse
Restaurant with the promise of not only continuing the local hometown
atmosphere, but also enhancing it. The Lighthouse today stands as a
landmark, a stop that is a "must" for people on the Lower Cape Cod--
with its door opening at 7am every morning to all, a home to visitors
and locals alike. Bob and Joe have worked hard for 23 years to insure
this home Town Open Door belief runs deeply through the restaurants
operation. Our staff is the best the Lower Cape has to offer and some
have been with us more than a decade. Please come to see for yourself
if this establishment is the "local" restaurant you have always been
looking for. |
Fodor's - "A
line snakes out the door of this simple wood-frame house on summer
mornings for a classic bacon-and-egg breakfast, or the tasty blueberry
pancakes. Try a plate of steamers and a beer for lunch and perhaps
chowder, cod fritters, lemon-butter scallops, and another beer for
dinner. Thursday they serve Mexican fare, margaritas, and Dos Equis
beer. There's a large deck, and downstairs you can order coffees,
gelato, and lighter fare from the Lighthouse To-Go-Shoppe. Reservations
not accepted. D, MC, V" Lighthouse Restaurant on Fodor’s |
